DPCN & CAS (Coded Anti-Start) Diagnostics DPCN Pump
Course Objectives:
The student will be able to check the fuel system, together with associated equipment on the vehicle, diagnose faults and carry out repair and test procedures to Delphi Distributor Standards, as well as being able to carry out procedures using special tools, electronic test equipment (ETK/Laser 2000) and technical data.

Who Should Attend?
Delphi Class 2 Distributors Only  (Exceptions will be made for engine and vehicle manufacturers, training and breakdown organisations and other recognised institutions.)

The course is designed specifically for the Fuel Injection Technician who will be responsible for repairing diesel fuel injection pumps and systems. The individual will have already attended the DPC pump repair course.

Course Contents:
Fuel pump repairs are based on the following subjects:

  • Fault Finding
  • Part-Dismantling
  • Construction and Operation
  • Repair
  • Reassemble
  • Setting and Testing

Vehicle fault diagnostics are based on the following subjects:

  • Electronic control - introduction and system technology
  • Basic electrical tests
  • Fault diagnosis

Each subject is covered individually and demonstrations are interactive with tests and practical exercises. This enables the instructor to monitor the trainee’s progress.

The course covers the DPCN fuel pump with or without boost control on Ford, Renault and Fiat applications, and vehicle diagnostics on a single application (normally Ford).
