Nozzles & Injectors Traditional Nozzles & Injectors
Delphi offers a comprehensive range of OE nozzles and injectors manufactured to the most stringent standards. This is especially important in a component where poor manufacturing standards can lead to accelerated wear and thus blocking or leakage which will lead to loss of performance and even damage to the engine.

Injectors
Directly secured to the engine cylinder head, the injector introduces fuel into the engine in the best form for optimum combustion. This requires the breaking down of fuel into tiny droplets, ranging in size from twenty to one hundred microns diameter, and spreading the droplets evenly through the combustion chamber.

In the more technically advanced diesel systems (ie. EPIC, DPCN), the nozzle holder acts as a sensor for measuring the injection flow rate and sends this information back to the electronically controlled pumps.

Nozzles
The nozzle is designed to close rapidly at the end of the injection phase to prevent hot gases forcing their way back up into the injector itself. Consequently, it is subject to extremes of pressure and temperature. Delphi has adopted the high standards demanded by vehicle manufacturers to ensure quality, longevity and reliability in our range of nozzles.

Delphi strongly recommends that nozzle sets are replaced every 50,000km and the injectors replaced every 110,000km. This will reduce fuel consumption, increase engine lifetime and reduce emissions.

All-Makes Range
We also offer a wide range of All-makes nozzles for popular applications. These are manufactured to the same demanding standards for quality and precision as the OE product.

We have produced a wall chart which lists all the All-Makes Nozzles, part number DDGX189.
