The Electronic Unit Injector (EUI) system was developed by Delphi in the 1990s, for use in large diesel engines, to meet the challenge posed by increasingly stringent emissions legislation.
The EUI comprises of an individual camshaft-plunger pump for each cylinder that is capable of delivering fuel at very high pressures (up to 2000 bar). These high injection pressures are absolutely essential to enable engines to meet current and future emissions legislation.
The EUI system incorporates full electronic control with pilot injection being employed to reduce noise. At the same time sensors around the engine feed a continuous stream of data to the ECU which calculates the exact amount and timing of fuel injected.
EUI Repair
Delphi Diesel has been working in conjunction with its network of workshops to develop a repair option for customers. We are now in the unique position to offer this cost-effective service as an alternative to new or remanufactured units, for the following applications:
- Volvo Trucks
- John Deere
- Hyundai
- Land Rover
There has been no compromise on quality either, as all repair parts are Original Equipment (OE) and, on completion of the repair, the injector is tested against the OE specification to ensure optimum performance.
