Delphi Diesel Aftermarket is pleased to announce the launch of the "Delphi Diesel+" range of fuel treatments.
Incorporating technology from Chevron Global Lubricants, these new treatments contain a number of key elements to enhance the fuel’s ability to clean, protect and restore, thereby improving engine performance and reducing emissions.
Today’s modern diesel engines are increasingly complex and are engineered to extremely fine tolerances to meet the diesel users expectations for:
•Reliable, high performance
•Low fuel consumption
•Low emissions.
It is more important than ever that the fuel used also meets the exacting standards of these systems.
With the ongoing reduction in sulphur, the ability of today’s diesel fuel to clean and lubricate engine components and fuel delivery systems has decreased. Whilst good quality fuel, stored in suitable conditions, will provide adequate protection, it is important to ensure preventative maintenance of the fuel system.
Using Delphi Diesel +, as part of a standard service programme, will help to compensate when fuel quality is variable.
The key elements of Delphi Diesel + include:
- An additional detergent to clean up fuel injector deposits and/ or keep injectors clean, therefore maintaining correct spray patterns.
- A lubricity agent to compensate for the lower lubricity of some modern diesel fuels.
- A fuel stabilizer which prevents acid-base reactions that cause fuel instability; This ensures that fuel operates at maximum efficiency through to combustion.
- A demulsifier to ensure clean phase separation between water and fuel. The demulsifier protects against filter blocking and water contamination of the fuel delivery system.
- An anti-foam agent to prevent excessive foaming during filling.
- A corrosion inhibitor to prevent rust; and
- A Cetane enhancer to improve the quality of the combustion process.
Treatment with Delphi Diesel + will also address issues associated with exceptionally low operating temperatures, and assist with reducing black smoke and lowering emissions.
