Delphi has taken all-makes Common Rail diagnostics even further with the launch of the False Actuator Kit (YDT410).
The need to diagnose and test Common Rail injection systems has provided a fresh challenge to both workshops and manufacturers alike. Ever since the launch of the first Delphi-equipped Common Rail vehicle in 2001, Delphi Diesel Aftermarket has placed a great emphasis on providing its network with the tools it requires to service Common Rail systems.
In 2003 Delphi launched the Sealed Rail kit (YDT278) – a unique all-makes diagnostic solution that pinpoints mechanical systems faults to either the pump or the injectors.
Delphi has now taken all-makes Common Rail diagnostics even further with the launch of the False Actuator Kit.
The Product
The False Actuator Kit should be used when it has been established that maximum system pressure cannot be generated when using the Sealed Rail Kit and the vehicle actuator (also known as the Inlet Metering Valve or IMV). This indicates that there is a fault with the pump but does not identify the root cause of the problem.
By replacing the vehicle actuator with the false actuators included in the YDT410, workshops will now have the capability to interrogate the pump further and identify whether the actuator is faulty or there is a mechanical failure within the pump.
The kit offers comprehensive all-makes capability with Bosch, Siemens and Denso systems all covered.
