August 2008 - Rounds 8 and 9 of the Delphi British Truck Racing Championship took place at Donington Park at the end of July.

There was also a new race truck on the track, the number 19 Volvo FM12, driven by Paul McCumisky and sponsored by Swadlincote Diesel, a Common Rail repair workshop and member of the Delphi Service Centre network which is now appointing Diesel Points across the region.

The eventful weekend saw several spectacular incidents with Ben Horne vs Brian Burt, Elton Boocock vs Steven Powell, and Chris Levett vs Mat Summerfield all coming together during the day.

Championship leader and reigning champion Stuart Oliver fought off Chris Levett to win two more races in Class A and in Class B, David Jenkins and Cees Zandburgen both took one win each.

Jenkins and Oliver both win at Thruxton

Rounds 10 and 11 of the Delphi British Truck Racing Championship took place at Thruxton just one week later. David Jenkins and Stuart Oliver took wins in Class A with Cees Zandburgen winning both Class B races.
