Warwick, United Kingdom - Colchester Fuel Injection Ltd, one of Delphi’s authorised diesel repair specialists, celebrated forty years of business in September 2009.
In 1967, the founder Mr. Colin Martin, originally in the commercial business, soon realised there was a gap in the market for a fuel injection specialist. Twelve months later Colchester Fuel Injection Limited was formed. This year they celebrate 40 years of business with their employees, customers and suppliers.

Since then Mr. Carl Martin (Colin’s son) has assumed full responsibility for the running of the company, with Mr. Paul Goldsmith appointed as General Manager and Mr John Rogers as Technical Manager.
Colchester Fuel Injection has a wealth of experience within the heavy diesel marine trade and has several long running Ministry of Defense contracts. They also overhaul fuel injection equipment for Man Diesel Ltd including Paxman, Ruston and Mirrlees, as well as the very latest in electronic unit fuel injection systems for the rail industry.
Colchester Fuel Injection became part of Delphi’s authorised diesel repair network in 1970 servicing product such as CAV Simms. They now repair the full range of Delphi diesel fuel injection systems from DP210/310 through to Electronic Unit Injectors and the latest Common Rail pumps and injectors.
Looking to the future Colchester Fuel Injection has embraced the Delphi Service Centre concept, a module based program, designed to enable garages to service the very latest vehicle systems including engine management (diesel and petrol), air conditioning and braking, steering and suspension. They have now appointed more than 10 Delphi Service Centres, to help develop a local specialist diesel network in their area. As well as repaired pumps and injectors, Delphi’s comprehensive product portfolio including Common Rail high pressure pipes, glow plugs, filters, solenoids and it’s fuel treatment programme is being sold down this channel, increasing revenue and ensuring their diesel test benches are kept busy.
