The first Delphi-equipped Common Rail vehicle was launched in 2001, and was followed in 2004 by the launch of Delphi’s Common Rail pump repair program.
The Hydraulic Head was not made available at the launch of pump repair. Recognising the need to provide the total repair solution, Delphi launched the Hydraulic Head assemblies during 2008.
2. REPAIR PROCEDURE
To ensure that Common Rail pump repair remains competitive and profitable for our customers, Delphi is now pleased to announce the launch of the DFP1 Hydraulic Head repair procedure, providing customers with the ability to change the Inlet / Outlet valves on the Hydraulic Head at a cost-effective price.
It is estimated that the ability to repair the Hydraulic Head will provide a solution to 80% of all DFP1 Hydraulic Head failures.

3. PART NUMBERS
For customer ease of use, the component parts for Head valve repair have been packed into 3 kits – each kit is for use with a specific Hydraulic Head assembly, and there fore fits to specific DFP1 pumps.
